closeness to your family.
Visit my

activities that helped create a loving and fun filled environment

May 3, 2008 The virus writers
haven't been hibernating during
the past few winter months.
They're
still creating some new and nasty stuff, and thanks to the
anti-virus and firewall software developers, we've been able to
avoid virus grief - at least those of us who have kept our
anti-virus software, firewalls, and operating systems up to date.
The top ten most prevalent virus and malware threats for the month
of April as compiled from monthly scans performed by Sunbelt's
award-winning antispyware tool,
CounterSpy(tm),
- a
service of the Sunbelt Software Malware Research Labs.* are -
These results reflect the number of times a particular spyware or
malware infection was detected during CounterSpy scans reported
to ThreatNet(tm), Sunbelt's community of opt-in users of CounterSpy
New threats that appeared for the first time in the top ten lists
include the Trojan. Vxgame and Blaire threats.
Sunbelt Software Company tags Vxgame as a severe threat -- a Trojan
program that silently downloads additional malware from the Internet
and lowers a user's system security settings by disabling the
Windows firewall.
Blaire is also a high risk threat -- a worm distributed through mass
emails. Once executed on a user's computer, it functions as a
backdoor, opens illicit network connections, and uses polymorphic
tactics to self-mutate, disable security software, modify system
files, and install additional malware.

Most of these software developers offer free anti-virus trials. If
you haven't updated your security software recently, check out their

There's been a lot of activity by caring webmasters and bloggers
focusing on the threats faced by our young children as they venture
more and more into the Wide World through the Internet.
Identifying online Child Predators and cyber stalkers certainly
presents a real problem. Fortunately, most of our teens are aware of
the threats and are alert enough to exercise caution when
encountering new 'friends' on the 'net.
Younger surfer's web activities can be monitored by alert parents
and guardians when they sit at their computers at home.
It's outside of the home where our children might be unsupervised
that stalkers and predators can present a serious threat. We've
trained our kids not to talk to strangers, nor accept rides, gifts
or candy from anyone they do not know, and maybe your neighborhood
seems to be safe and free of such criminal types.
But, How do you know for sure?
The National Alert Registrycan instantly identify any
Registered Sex Offenders who might live in your neighborhood.
Their data base includes over 500,000 records that can be searched
by Zip code - yours!
It's worth visiting their website. I did and was surprised at the
results. My Children and Grandchildren have been alerted to the
results of my search. By being Aware and Alert, they'll be a lot
more safe.
Check it out for your neighborhood and alert your family members to
what you find, and if you don't have young children, alert your
friends who do. It's a neighborly thing to do.
April 1, 2008How Did
You Teach Your Children To Be Safe
When They Were learning to Surf the Internet?
We'd love to learn how you taught your kids to
be cautious and careful and avoid the threats from online scammers
and pedophiles when they were learning to explore the "web".
As parents, grandparents and guardians, we
are reminded constantly to help our children enjoy the pleasures and
excitement of the Internet in safety.
My own grandchildren learned how to boot up their family
computers at a very early age. For the youngest of
them, it was simply a matter of watching their older sisters and brothers as
they chatted online with their friends, worked on their school lessons, and
explored the mysteries of the cyber universe.
Informed
parents recognize that the Internet provides an exciting and
learning experiences for their children. Teaching online safety, and
learning together is a wonderful way for any family to enjoy it.
Your experiences and successes could help a lot of other parents and
us grandparents.

(*)I'm a proud grandparent of 9
precious grandchildren and the last thing in this world that I ever
want to see is someone hurting them.
I'm certain that this
doesn't make me any different than every other parent, grandparent
or child guardian.
What is a bit different, however, is that I have an opportunity to
help other parents and grandparents do something to help protect our
young children from the most heinous people who prey on them
when they're playing on the Internet - the pedophiles and child
predators hiding in the cyberworld.
I do this through my websites and blogs - usually through news
alerts and product announcements. This message is a product
announcement.
The product is an eBook I just prepared from information I
purchased. I bought it because it seemed so complete, and thorough,
that I believe it will enable all of us to help our kids more easily
understand how serious, and cautious they must be when visiting the
Internet.
Yes,
there's a price for this one, but it's only $6.95, and you can
download it from the internet and start using it almost
immediately.
If you order the eBook and find that it doesn't help you understand,
and explain the threats that these creatures pose, then I'll return
your money. (Within 60 days of your order).
It's not the money, the most important issue here is the safety of
our children, as you'll see when you visit the order page.

There can be a big advantage in being the first to do
something. Just imagine being one of the first
stockholders in Microsoft if you have your doubts.
In fact, I just got a big advantage myself today because
I've been paying attention to what Ken McArthur has been
up to with his new site.
You see, Ken is going to be giving away some pretty
amazing resources over the next six months as part of a
HUGE book launch, an incredible coaching program, and a
massive home study course.
He's been preaching
about moving up the value of the materials that you GIVE
away for a long, long time so ...
That means there are some great ZERO COST materials
coming!
